This NYFW, Dorin Negrau’s S/S 2015 collection was inspired in myth of Dracula, native to his hometown: Transylvania. With lots of asymmetrical cuts and lace detailing, white elements thats slowly transitioned into darkness. Some of my favorite pieces were the embroidered belts, lace detailing, exposed backs, as well as the sheer, flowy chiffon and crisp white tops!
One of the highlights was Dorin's personal tribute to 9/11, when models showcased a piece of black tape alongside their outfits.
To complete their looks, the model swore their hair in perfectly “undone” up do’s, accompanied with beautiful hand-made jewelry. Make-up wise, the models featured a soft smokey eye with eccentric red cross-stitched lips for extra drama! Oh and btw, the mirrored, metal-framed Lennon style sunglasses were to die for!
For his debut in NY, Dorin’s Dramatic/sexy/rock/chic collection definitely made a statement, and even though the collection might not be for everyone, I personally would love to combine it with a touch of Shari Style!
Vampire kisses from NYC to the world!
